A case for hospitality in the era of religious pluralism

SimonMary Asese A. Aihiokhai

pp. 67-81

This chapter sheds light on the tangible ways the Roman Catholic community in Ihievbe town continues to use hospitality as a dialogical model. The place of hospitality in Islam and Ihievbe Traditional Religion is affirmed as well as the practice of hospitality in the African context. Finally, concrete ways of using hospitality as a dialogical tool for engagement among religions are addressed. As you read this chapter, it is my hope that you will begin to think of ways you can become a vehicle of God's hospitality to all you encounter, knowing fully well that diversities, whether religious or cultural, are possibilities for growth when embraced with open minds and hearts.
